  10. SGS Thomson makes the Modem Analog Front End chip (analog/digital
  11. and digital/analog converters and filters, etc) that goes with a
  12. Motorola DSP/microprocessor chip to make a datapump.  ST designed
  13. its chip; I believe that Moto designed both its chip and the 
  14. firmware on that chip.  The part numbers in question are ST7544 
  15. and MC68356.
